How we got the news in the 60s-  Representatives Gerald R. Ford, Senator Everett M. Dirksen, Ray Bliss and Thruston Morton watch election returns on multiple televisions.  November 8, 1966.

In the words of an archivist at the Ford Library:  “I would imagine that they are watching congressional election returns.  1966 was a year that the Republicans won back a bunch of seats, so maybe that is why they look so happy.”
